Hey there 🤗
Remember that time you wanted to catch ALL the candies falling from the sky and ended up with none because you just couldn't decide which one to grab first?
Well, welcome to the Shiny Object Syndrome of the business world! 🍭✨
First, let’s get real: The Internet? It’s like an all-you-can-eat buffet of “GET RICH FAST” advice.
Every Monday? A new secret sauce.
By Friday? You're more lost than a cat in a dog show.
🤷♀️ You wonder: Why are my pockets still not filled with gold coins when everyone else is flaunting their treasure chests?
Here’s the tea: Before I hit my groove, I was also that person.
Dabbling in blogs, videos, dropshipping, Amazon KDP… Name it, I tried it…
I mean, I was basically throwing spaghetti at the wall, hoping something would stick. And you know what? Most of the pasta just slid right off. 🍝
The true problem? Jack of all trades, master of none.
You scatter your energy everywhere, and what do you get? A chaotic mess and a heap of unfinished, wonky projects.
💡 Here’s a revelation: It wasn’t necessarily my strategies at fault. It was that I wasn't going deep; I was only skimming the surface.
So, what did I change?
Focus: I honed in on ONE thing. ONE.
No More Distractions: I sent my small side projects on a long vacation.
Consistency: Regular content, email lists, training courses - I was on it.
Patience: Quick fixes? Nope. I hustled, day in, day out.
Key takeaway: Stop running after every shiny thing to get your gem. Choose your diamond in the rough and polish it till it shines.
Your mission, should you choose to accept: Ditch the distractions, pick your passion project, and give it EVERYTHING. Because if a scatterbrain like me can do it, then darling, so can you! 💪✨
Here’s to fewer shiny objects and more real, glittering success! 🥂
Stay focused and fabulous,
Marlene 🤗
P.S. Remember, it's not about having the time. It's about making the time. Focus on what truly matters, and the universe will make a way!
That was me. Thank God I saw the light, and I'm doing much better.
But I lost time and money going after the shiny object.
Thanks for sharing this; it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one who does things like that.
Great quick read, Marlene! I've definitely been wrestling with this lately, particularly splitting my focus between X and this platform. I think this makes my next move very clear!
