Social media is the best way to find clients for free in 2024.
Since April 2023, I've sold 80% of my product thanks to them.
Iām not saying itās a miracle way to have a thriving business.
But itās an amazing way to find your first clients, test your ideas & see how it works.
It can truly make wonders for your online business.
You need to have the right methods...
You can't just publish a content to sell.
Making good, valuable content isn't enough.
Neither is setting up a foolproof engagement routine.
Selling on social media requires to respect some principles.
There are simple but absolutely essential!
Letās crack it!
Have the right mindset
If your only goal on social media is: sell, sell, sellā¦
Then your audience is going to feel it.
& it will quickly bore them.
& turn them off.
š To turn your followers into customers, you need to create a real connection with your audience.
& you'll only be able to do that if you really want to.
If you really want to create a community that is engaged with you, that trusts you, that admires you, that will follow you wherever you go...
If that's your true intention...
Then your audience will feel it.
& it will work.
ā If you only see your followers as ATM, then that's the impression you'll give them.
And they'll end up running away from you.
The intention you put behind an action is so important & largely determines the result you're going to get.
So make sure you put your focus where it should be:
Help your audience and creating a bond with them...
and the sales will follow (if you apply all the following principles).
Because we are here to make an impact before anything else.
& you need the be genuinely interest by people to achieve that.
Know your ideal customer inside out
It can't be said often enough, but...
Knowing your ideal customer by heart is the key to a lasting business.
(And I'm not talking about knowing their age or their hobbies, we agree...)
If you know exactly what your customers want,
How they feel about their current situation,
What they want to change in their life,
What emotions they want like to feel,
What makes them suffer and why,
Their deepest dreams,
Then you'll know what content to create to touch their heart.
You'll be able to tell them what they need to hear in order to trust you and buy from you.
You'll know how to show them that you're the right person to help them.
They'll understand that they need you. And they'll buy.
Creating a committed community
If you manage to create an engaged community, then you've won everything.
Today, my followers easily buy my offers because I've managed to show them that I'm trustworthy.
(from my results, the customer feedback I get, etc...)
To achieve this, I relied on 4 pillars:
Authenticity:
I'm myself when I communicate on social media.
I share my vision, my values & my goals.
Iām natural, Iām the same as in real life.
I don't try to be someone I'm not.
This way, I attract people who are like me & so automatically create a connection with them.
Vulnerability:
I don't hesitate to share my problems, my mistakes, my failures, I don't try to show a perfect life.
In 2024 people need the real thing.
Being transparent about my problems makes me ānormalā & allows my followers to see themselves in me, to relate with me & connect deeply, and to see that I'm no better than they are.
So they feel closer to me.
The benefit:
I really care about my followers, and they know it.
I share value with them,
I motivate them,
I encourage them.
I'm active on social media every day,
I spend hours chatting to them in DM.
In short, I'm (genuinely) interested in them.
And they feel it, so it inspires trust!
Take action:
I've never waited for my engaged community to be heaven-sent.
Since I started out, I've spent a ton of time interacting with my followers.
Countless hours to comment their posts, react to their stories, check up on them, respond to their message, ask them questions...
You know the saying, "the more you give, the more you will receiveā
Well, on social, it's one key principle that rules the game:
If you want engaged followers, then go engage with them first!
Implement visibility strategies
If you want to find new customers, reach a wider audience, then you're going to have to make yourself visible, to go outside your comfort zone.
There are many strategies you can use to achieve this... and here's a non-exhaustive list that you can leverage:
The engagement routine with your current audience & find new people
Collaborative content
Live (any social media has a feature like this)
In short, anything that allows you to expose yourself to new people.
This will give you every chance of finding more customers!
Find your winning sales strategy
You know your ideal customer.
You have an engaged community.
You make yourself visible to them every day.
Now it's time to sell!
There are dozens of different strategies for selling on social media.
š But there's one that's more effective than all the rest...
The one that suits you!
The more you enjoy & feel comfortable with the way you sell, the more you'll sell!
Of course, you need to follow some crucial copywriting rules & it's vital to learn how to do it!
But form doesn't matter...
There are many different ways of selling on social media, and the more you enjoy the process, the better the results you'll get!
