Hey there đ€
Youâll be such an incredible human if you:
Listen In My Socks podcast on Spotify or Apple Podcast
Read the other editions of this newsletter
I spent the entire week to record the course & itâs a tougher exercise I could ever imagine đ
When we look YouTube videos or even some online training⊠It seems sooooo easy to do itâŠ
Just like creating content online.
But we arenât all natural video maker, natural speaker, natural writerâŠ
Thatâs why when I see people giving this kind of advice:
âYou must publish 8 times per day on đ if you want to grow now.â
âYou must publish 7 times per week on LinkedInâ
âYou must leave 50 comments every day.â
These really piss me off đ€
They gave a ton of free âvalueâ without even taking a sec to consider you & your business.
Itâs easy to publish 8 times per day when you ave a ton of data, process & a BIG flair for writing.
Itâs way harder when notâŠ
But, no, I'm not here to tell you that this practice isn't good or harmful.
I am here to qualify the notion of consistency.
BecauseâŠ
Not everyone wants to publish every day.
Not everyone wants to spend our time creating content 24 hours a day.
Not everyone wants to be demotivated because our last post had 100 views.
And I really do understand you.
Because content creation can quickly become tedious and demoralising.
On the other hand...
Creating at your own pace, according to YOUR reality, that's important. That matters.
Being consistent relies all on you firstly.
Itâs crucial to ask you this question even before creating content.
Because posting 8 times per day for a whole week & then posting here & there afterwardâŠ
Hummmm⊠Itâs not consistency.
While publishing one quality, impactful, valuable post per day for the next 6 monthsâŠ
It is consistency.
Itâs how you build trust, credibility & authority in your ânicheâ.
(even if I donât really like this word)
Remember, if you want to please the algo, please the human behind the screen firstly.
& I agree getting to the point of publishing quality, impactful, valuable posts is not something easy.
It takes time & practice. A ton of practice.
But the good news: You can leverage all the tools social media is giving you.
Comments, DM, data, other peopleâs postâŠ
& most importantly: being SOCIAL.
We donât REMEMBER & care about a post about X hacks to get to 5K followers.
However, we remember this post about how Louise started alone, in her student bedroom, this business.
Because itâs all about emotions, feeling, connecting with others.
This what you must focus on!
Not how many times you have to publish.
Another good news? We all are humans before being creators.
Itâs possible for everyone to do it!
So, take the time to analyze yourself, your strategy, what you want to accomplish on social mediaâŠ
& then, decide how many times you want to publish.
& then, prioritize connecting with people.
& then, be a human.
We are social by nature.
So be social.
Detach you from numbers.
Growth will take care of itself.
Stay awesome,
Marlene đ€
