🙃 8 Lessons Learned In 8 Months Of 2023
Let me spill the beans...
Hey fellow solopreneurs! 🤗
Listen, if there's one thing I adore more than a spontaneous dance break in the middle of the workday (💃), it's whispered dramatically sharing juicy, valuable content for FREE.
Yeah, you heard me! E-books, tweets, newsletters, and, drumroll even videos soon (I know, someone hold my laptop, it's getting real).
But here's the thing.
Among all the types of content I dish out, my favorite is the real, raw, unfiltered behind-the-scenes content.
The messy & ugly stuff.
The "omg, did she really just say that" stuff.
The kind where I share my trials, errors, and the occasional dad joke (hey Dad, I see you here! 😂).
So, as we wave goodbye to August soon and strut into September, let's talk 8 lessons from the 8 fabulous months of 2023:
1️⃣ - Done > Perfect.
Every. Single. Time. As businesses flourish, so does our inner perfectionist.
It's like an annoying pop-up ad that just won’t go away.
But perfectionism? It's a progress killer.
Plus, it’s so subjective… impossible to please everyone here!
So, launch that product, write that post, dance that dance—even if it’s a bit wobbly.
2️⃣ - Embrace the Hate!
There will always be critics.
& that’s okay.
You can always thank them for the engagement they create!
Authenticity is our North Star.
Why serve diluted content when you can serve it straight-up, with a twist of sass?
3️⃣ - Just Ask!
Ever heard the saying, "Close mouths don't get fed?"
Either you get what you want, or a learning experience.
But you won’t know unless you ask.
4️⃣ - It's Not Over 'Til It's Over.
Sure, there were ups and downs, but 2023?
It's OUR year. 4 more months to make magic happen.
Time to grab opportunities by the collar and say, "You're coming with me!"
5️⃣ - Captain of the Ship Vibes.
Stepping into the CEO shoes (they're so comfortable flip-flops this summer, by the way) has been exhilarating.
From devising strategies, & creating my coaching offers, to navigating unforeseen obstacles—it's a ride I’m here for!
6️⃣ - Bold Moves Only.
Ever felt like you’re not growing?
The breakthrough is just outside your comfort zone.
Dive deep, take risks, shake things up!
I have already done more call on X from my entire solopreneurship journey & already done one interview!
7️⃣ - Evolve or Stay Stuck.
Some beliefs are like old shoes: comforting, but they don't quite fit anymore.
Time to update the mental wardrobe and step into some new beliefs!
Remember: you are capable of anything 💛
8️⃣ - Mind Matters.
Guarding my mental fortress is KEY.
Recognizing burnout signals and prioritizing self-care isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity.
Success is a marathon, not a sprint, so let's stay mentally fit.
Especially for the next weeks: I need to jungle with my business, my coaching, my daily life, my move & family… There will be a lot!
Wrapping it up whether you're lounging on a hammock (just like me when writing this edition) or conquering boardrooms (or perhaps nailing the art of doing both 🍹), let’s savor every moment, lesson, and opportunity 2023 brings our way.
